How It Is Manufactured
The manufacturing of Anhydrous Aluminium Chloride at CKKL follows a meticulous process involving the chemical reaction of molten aluminium with chlorine gas inside a specially designed reactor.
Process Reaction: 2Al + 3Cl2 → 2AlCl3
The process is conducted at approximately 700°C. The exothermic reaction's heat is efficiently managed, and Aluminium Chloride vapors condense on the reactor walls, forming solid deposits that are collected and processed further.
